Fight Gone Bad Charity Challenge

Every year the CrossFit Comminity get together to promote awareness of Prostate cancer in September.
The event format is the Fight Gone Bad CrossFit format and we are opening the event up to anyone. We are looking for people, CrossFitter and Non CrossFitters alike to participate either by simply paying an entry fee $25 and doing the Workout,obtaining sponsorship, or sponsoring a participant.
In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The event is in the 3 round format. The stations are:
- Wall-ball: , 10 ft target. (Reps)
- Sumo deadlift high-pull: (Reps)
- Box Jump: 20″ box (Reps)
- Push-press: (Reps)
- Row: calories (Calories)
* The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.
#As this event is about participation there will be 4 Classes (details on entry form) based on fittness levels
Money raised will go to The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

TP Corporate Triathlon

The corporate team triathlon is an opportunity for workmates or friends to participate in a social atmosphere outside of the workplace, while promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever and we look forward to seeing you on The Strand.
The legs are as follows:
- Swim – 400m
- Bike – 16km
- Run – 4km

Fathers Day Fun Run

The McDonalds Fathers Day Fun run and walk is on Sunday 6th of September 2009.
Entry forms can be picked up from Saturdays run, Butcher on Bundock, Sportscene, Sportsco & Top Brand Cycles. Entries accepted from 6am on Fathers Day.
The distance is 5.8km for the long course and 2.9km for the short course. The event starts at 7.00am from the New Projects Stadium, Townsville Basketball on Murray Lyons Cr, Murray.
Enter on the day from 6am. Try to be early to avoid the rush.
The entry cost is $10 for adults and $5 for school students. Children under 5 years are free.
