CrossFit Workout Classes

The CrossFit Group Workouts are the main classes held at CrossFit NQ. They consist of varied exercises performed at maximum intensity.

Everybody in the class does the same workout, but scaled to your fitness level.

Each workout will use a combination of movements, including:

  • weight lifting (not just dumbbells, but kettlebells, medicine balls and anything else we can find to lift and throw)
  • gymnastics (i.e. body control movements, including the all-important air squat, pushup, pullup and dip)
  • monostructural exercise (running, rowing, cycling, swimming, stair climbing, etc.)

Please Note: Due to the skill level involved in CrossFit everyone must complete the Introductory Program before joining the Group Workout Sessions.


The class usually starts with a brief warm up before moving on to practice the skills used in the upcoming workout.Once everyone is familiar with the movements and ready, the workout will begin… lasting between 15 and 40 mins. These short, intense workouts are what make CrossFit so effective, and you will find they give you better overall fitness results than other forms of slow exercise.

To finish the class, there will be a quick cool down with stretching.


All classes last for 60 minutes.Wear comfortable clothes that you can train in and shoes that are suitable for cross training. Bring along a water bottle and towel… and be ready to work hard!
