STARTING  WITH CROSSFIT NORTH QUEENSLAND


One of the most common questions we get is "Do I need to be fit to start? "

The Simple answer is NO,That is why we are here. To help you get as fit as possible as fast as possible.

When you walk through our doors you have walked into a coached environment, focused on helping you improve. It is possible that you may need the workouts scaled to your current fitness levels and abilities. About 80% of the time we have to modify the workouts for members. Scaling, as this modification is called, is normal and actually helps improve your progress,  it makes the workouts doable , but not easy ;)

CrossFit has alot of skills, movements and lingo that you may not have done or used before but don't let that scare you. To ensure everyone has the best opportunity to succeed and meet their goals we require everyone to start with either a Fundamentals or Introductory Course, think of it like your CrossFit Beginners Boot Camp.

There are 3 Options for starting depending on you CrossFit Experience

BEGINNER FUNDAMENTALS/INTRODUCTORY PROGRAM

Aimed at those new to CrossFit and possibly even exercise in General.

Group fundamentals

6 x 50 minute classes, 3 days a week for the first two weeks .Once you’ve gotten the hang of it, you’ll be ready to enter our group CrossFit classes. At the conclusion of the 6 sessions you will be credited with a complementary 1 month membership   to trail our regular classes.

These are a timetables classes run once a month on a set timetable are you are with other beginners

Personal Introduction

3 x 60 min  Personal sessions with a CrossFit Coach to get you up to speed on the fundamental CrossFit Movements movements. All the movements that are covered in the Group course are covered here, but because it only a single person we can get through them a little quicker, also we don't do WODs like in the Group Fundamentals, these are purely technical sessions

At the conclusion of your three intro sessions  you will also be credited with a 1 month membership use in the regular CrossFit  North Queensland classes.

 

EXPRESS INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOPS
We understand that many people are time poor these days and so hhese Workshops are aimed at those who already have a good basic fitness level or are regulars in the gym, but  never done CrossFit before or for those who are self trained in CrossFit

You can pick between a  2 hour workshops,  or 2 x 1 hour PT sessions to go through  a streamlined version of our Full Beginners Course and you will still go through the same movements and CmrossFit methodology and exercises. This allows our coaching staff to assess your current fitness level as well as identify limitations or injuries you may have

There will be no WOD ( workout of the ay) but plenty of technique practice,so come ready to sweat.

we can run upto  a, maximum 6 people  group so why not get together with some friends and come give it a go.

 

TRANSFER

If you have already completed an Intro or fundamentals course at another CrossFit Affiliate you should be right to join in with our classes.Just have your old coach email us to introduce you to us, as well as make us aware of any injuries or limitations you may have.

If this is not an option you can book in for Movement assessment with one of our coaches outside of regular class time, the cost of the moment assessment also included a one week membership at  ( starting on the date of assessment).
